Thank you. The article you referred me to solved my problem. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on your suggestion. The PC with the problem was at a remote site and I wasn't on-site until this week.
The article you referred me to contained several possible resolutions. In my case it was step 2 that corrected my problem. I'm curious, did you experience the same problem and how did you come across the knowledge base article? I searched the knowledge base and came up empty. I guess I didn't enter the magic key words to bring up the article I needed.
Step 2 Delete the following entry in the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Network\Real Mode Net
AutoLogon=xx
