The cat is already out of the bag, but incase anyone else wants to uninstall IE4.0 there is a KB article on the process: Q174265 which is found at
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/ARTICLES/Q174/2/65.asp?PR=CHS&FR=0&M=S&It say, briefly, that IE40 CANNOT be uninstalled from your machine IF your machine has multiple boot OS's installed, or IF you have deleted the IE40 backup files were deleted. Also, if you uninstall IE40 then Plus! cannot be uninstalled.
