If we are talking of real strong typing (i.e. enforced) then you would have to go back to all your existing programs an redefine all variable declarations with a type, then make sure that you re-compile and fix all the compiler errors on variable type re-declaration you may have. In VFP7 you declare a type for outside exposure only. It is not real, enforced, strong-typing.
