Like many other people, I am waiting for my copy of VFP 7.0 to arrive. I recently downloaded the readme file for VFP 7.0 and read that IE 5.0 is required to install VFP. I currently have IE 5.0. Quoting directly from the readme file, "Part of the Visual FoxPro installation process is the Windows Component Update, which installs Internet Explorer 5.5 if an earlier version is found.". Earlier than what ? Earlier than IE 5.0 or 5.5 ?

If IE 5.0 is needed to install VFP, do I still need to install IE 5.5 when installing the "Windows Component Update" ?

In addition, what else does the "Windows Component Update" install ?
