I installed IE 4.0 & loved how it worked when it finally got running (the boot up and shutdown were nightmares!)
But, alas, I decided to remove it so my machine would run more reliably. I used the ADD/REMOVE program in the control panel. After about five minutes of chugging I got everythng back the way it was before I installed IE 4.0, with one benefit - my machine is now a bit faster that it used to be.

The KB article about uninstalling IE 4.0 says that if you delete the "backup" files that IE4 creates then you will not be able to uninstall it. OR, if you install it on a dual boot machine you wont be able to uninstall it.
