Sergey,
thanks, it now works. I still do not have the program tab but no problem. I put cmd at the end of each batch file and run the bat file from the icon. I knew I could do all of that before but I thought that because I was starting a new command session (with cmd at the end of the bat file) that the new session would not have the path. It does!

>I see. I was talking about shortcut to the dos program. It has the same properties as in Win98. Try following: Create batch file, say mycmd.bat and put shorcut to it on your desktop
>REM mycmd.bat
>Call mybatchfile.bat
>cmd
Now run command prompt from this shortcut.

>>> In Win 98 etc. you could run a batch file when starting a dos session. I cannot find a way to do that with Win 2K. I have to run the command prompt and then manually run a batch file. I do this because we have several programs and each one is in a different area of the server and need different path and drive mappings.
