I have an application where the user must preview very large ASCII files before processing them. I'm using MODIFY COMMAND to use the default VFP editor which works well, but sometimes I want the user to see the status line to know the column and line number without manually turning it on. This app has SET RESOURCE OFF so there is no FOXUSER to store preferences in.

Can the editor preferences be set programatically?
