Jerry, you're really confusing the issue here. PA has absolutely not a damn thing to do with registration. Registration requires personel information, otherwise you woudln't be registering something to your name, would you? Passport is nothing more than the reusable envelope to hold that personal information.

People say its a bad thing, but its really a convience. I'd rather remeber one username and password to contact MS with, wether its for Private MS sites, MSDN areas, MSN areas, or Product Support areas. I don't know about you, but I sure like the fact thats its all in one spot and there's one way to get to it. The only reason I can think of that people get pissed because they need a passport to register is because they think its teh exact same as a hotmail account (which its not) or that because it has a cute name like "Passport" they are buying a product that they do not want.
