The easiest solution is to put Save button on the form.

>I have a form with several fields from an optimistic buffered table on it. In addition, I've put a "Save" button on a toolbar that is available when the form is running.

I suspect that it has something to do with the fact that the field does not lose focus when the toolbar's Save button is pressed and VFP does not know about the modified value.
