If you are going to print to a predefined form, I did not have much luck with the Generic Text driver(Which did print a lot faster). I have an app with service tickest that are 8.5 by 9. I had my customer buy the OKI DATA printer and you can install a fastfont driver and you can get full control on page sizing and etc and very fast.
