Not that type of data, silly. I wouldn't include the general ledger files with the update. These files already have user modified data in them. Any change would be to the structure which I would use Stonefield to update.
Here is one example. I have a config file that contains license info along with other information. We don't allow backdating due to legal issues so last date time information is also saved to this config file. Now since the file is updated, if I need to wipe out the file with another version I can't because it's mod > acc date.
We also use Foxfire and have issues when updating our users. I'm not sure about the details, maybe someone else has experienced similar problems.
I think the old setup wizard allowed more flexibility for installations than Windows Installer does.
