Hi Fox Community!

easy question: I have a database with .DBC (database himself) , .DCX (database indexes) and .DCT (database memos) extensions. The tables that are part of the batabase are made of .DBF (table) , .CDX (table index) and .FPT (table memos).

At this point none of what i just said is news for you and me. Here goes my question:

What I have to do when files are missing?

I was thinking and got to these possibilities:
- if a DBC or DBF file is missing, recreate the database;
- if a DCX or CDX file is missing, reindex the DBF and the DBC;
- if a DCT or FPT file is missing, recreate the database.

I think I'm not 100% right about this. I can do that way but recreating the database would result in data loss.

Thanks in advance,

Alonso

P.S.: Did you see Guga Kuerten playing on sunday?? :)
