I told Mike at your company my grandfather Francis Leslie Cummings, was raised on his grandparents dairy ranch in San Francisco. I am named after his father Thomas Cummings.

Doesn't sound familiar. I suppose if you go back far enough when we our favorite food was still bananas, their is probably a connection ( or maybe some time after that ).

>There is something about the Select object that is strange. I have used so many of them. Refreshing data in the Windows_OnLoad is something I have to do. I also table drive them which is easier to fill and change data. One thing I cannot control is the width of the cbo. If the data is longer that the selected width it just "grows" the cbo to the required width. So layout of objects is important. I have some complex forms in one app (about 60) with 50 to 100 objects on them. Thank God it is an Intranet Application!

>Can you give me an example of your select code? Try it in the preview first before you send it. I will see if there is anything I can advise you on.

The code is at the top of the screen. If you can get that code to work properly, we can use this example code and fix the problem in the menu.

>Now, how about a cbo with multiple columns using a select object? I am waiting for that. Some "experts" have told me that you can do "anything" with a web app that you can do with a desktop app. Ha - Ha - Ha!!! I am making a list of what cannot be done - and it hurts! When you streatch the envelope of technology you pay the price.

Some of the things that Rick Strahl has done with his web apps have come pretty close. Though I don't remember if he was combining a client app with his web app.

Have you been looking into C# at all? I'm really impressed with how quickly and painlessly you can put together a fairly robust app.
