I am not suprised...
Let me think.... PostgreSQL is Free and GPL.
I can download myself, install it myself, and it is mostly auto tuning.
(Oh, I remember, SuSE installs it automatically during install!)
Or, I can spend $9,000 a year for GreatBridge to do the same...
mmmm... Yup, that's a tuffie, alright. :)

I don't know what their business model was, but going against GPL software is not too bright unless you have an OS monopoly and a large warchest to support lizard lawyers sending out tons of 'ceast and desist' orders based on the weakest or even non-existing infringements.

RMS made it clear that the GPL was to prevent exploitation of free and community software by commercial interests. It works.
