Someone asked this question because I found it by searching but I don't recall seeing an adequate answer. I see MSDE as a good desktop tool to get SQL code to be proficiently written for potential migration, but, I don't see something like Enterprise Mgr or other tools that seem to come with SQL-Server. MSDN seems to indicate that to create a MSDE, create it via Access or SQL-Server and upsize or downsize into MSDE. Seems ridiculous to have to create and maintain a database elsewhere and then have to migrate it into MSDE.

I just received my VFP 7 and have loaded MSDE on the machine too. Now what?
