I am confused as to your problem. No references to free tables are contained in the DBC. Are you saying you are losing tables from the DBC that were in the database? My guess as to why you get the Open dialogue is that the free tables that compose the view can not be found along the VFP search path. The path to these free tables are not maintained in the view definition.
