I agree 100%. The proportion of trouble-makers is minimal in the context of the people that come in.

The part that I would agree is a big problem in the Mexico border is the lack of willingness to search and prosecute "coyotes", those people that charge illegal immigrants $500-$1000 a head to get them across the border. The majority of them are there to take advantage of them, and in a lot of cases sending them out to a sure death.

Having said that I would wish that the border were wide open in both directions. There are just as many legal restrictions on Americans in Mexico as there are on Mexicans here in the US. Still,, these have to be some of the sweetest, hardest working people I have ever met. My uncle owned a company called "Mojave Foods" up in Los Angeles until he sold it about 15 years ago. He wouldn't hire anglos - only latinos. I grew up in a culture that deeply cared for our neighbors to the south and we always worried/wished that they would somehow get their financial act together so they could enjoy the same level of life we did.
