Yes <s>, and they already defined some configurations, depending on user needs, too. The point here is to show the IT management, with some "statistic numbers", why brand "A" should be better than, say, brand "B", both in the same configuration, but sometimes with different prices.

Here in Brazil PC hardware is very expensive (to our standards), and computer configurations are not so powerfull as in some other countries. The configuration we are talking about is: P III 800mhz CPU, 128mb RAM, 20gb HD, 10mbits NIC, 15in CRT monitors, running win2k professional, so we must take the juice out of any difference any brand is better than other.

The "server" where my apps are hosted (exe and tables)is an old ALR P II, 233mhz, 256mb RAM, 2x9gb SCSI HDs running win NT 4 Server (see what I mean?), but they promissed it will be upgraded!
