Well, I saw on CNN this afternoon (Saturday, 22nd) that the 'proper' way to disburse biological or chemical agents has already been researched by the terrorists. They found crop duster flight manuals amoung the evidence taken from suspects in a 'certain' city. What I wasn't going to say was that despensing 100mg of biological agent isn't a matter of flying a model plane around. It would result in too high a concentration in too small an area. Since the toxicity of BT is 1 mg/person, and the toxicity of XV is 10mg/person, one would have to dilute the agent(s) with a 'filler' so that when it was sprayed it would result in the appropriate concentration making contact with the target individual. A container of pure nerve toxin XV, about the size of a 60W light bulb, for example, will kill all organisms that utilize nervous systems within a diameter of five miles. Crop dusters typically carry 300 gallons of fluid and contain mixing devices to keep the contents stirred up, in the case of suspensions. Flying at about 2,000 feet along the upwind side of Lincoln, for example, a terrorist flying at 65mph could dispense the 300 gallon load along a five mile line that would drift downward and downwind, covering the core of Lincon, killing perhaps 175,000 people in a 25 square mile area, and who knows how many dogs, cats, birds, fish, worms, insects or any other creature with acetylcholine synapse functions.

That the FBI has already uncovered, on the 16th, evidence that terrorists are already planning, if not practicing, such an attact seems to indicate to me that they have already secreted stores of XV agent into our country. Unfortunately, atrophine (a possible antidote) dispensing equipment is not available to the general public.

If this kind of attack takes place one can be assured that the response will be to nuke Iraq, becVause it is only known place where terrorists can get their hands on XV. XV itself is easy to make. A certain precursor is not, however, and evidence of its purchase and/or manufacture is prima facia proof of XV production, because that is the ONLY use for that precursor. Several fragments of warheads 'destroyed' by Iraq in a pit soutwest of Bagdad in the late 90s were analyzed and found to contain this precursor. Iraq has XV, have no doubt about it. It wouldn't suprise me if all this talk about Osamma Ben Laden is merely decoy activity to cover a strike at Iraq.
