What Version of Novell are u using, also what service pack.

Have you checked the shareable attributes with flag.exe.

Is transaction tracking enabled. There is problem with novell & VFP using this. There is a wrapper in the downloads section if u require this.

Also check the following client settings

Cache Writes: Off (Default = On)
Delay Writes: Off (Default = On)
File Cache Level: 0 (Default = 2)
Opportunistic Locking: Off (Default = On)
True Commit: On (Default = Off)

Have tested here but don't get the results you do.

We will eventually isolate the problem.
