I'm using an MS Intellimouse Optical with IntelliPoint 3.2 software on Windows 2000 SP2. The wheel is set to roll 3 lines per detent (the default).
In either IE 5.5 or 6:
- Click on the "Archives" dropdown to drop it down
- Click elsewhere to put it back up, but the control still has the focus ("Archives" backcolour is blue)
- Roll the mouse down 1 detent.
On my system the Archives dropdown goes down 3 entries to "Downloads" (as expected) but it also *opens* that link.
Expected behaviour - dropdown value simply changes to "Downloads", link not opened.
