The good news:
I finally got my COA from Compaq. It took most of the day. I had to e-mail them twice with serial number and model number.

The bad news:
Now the Compaq won't boot. Disk boot failure. It might not be the hard drive that I replaced. It might be the controller. I think the controller is built on the motherboard. I will be working on it.

At least I have a COA now and I will guard it with my life! LOL!!!
