Database DAO/RDO/ODBC/ADO
Hello J,
Yes it's on the same location, I removed an older workstation that was there and replaced it with the new one using the same ethernet line. I was thinking that the network card was working properly as I can run nwadmin, groupwise or any executable instantly but the program that connects to the database opens terribly slowly and any mail merged Microsoft word documents also open slowly as it has to retrieve records from the Access database. Anything else that I run from on the server opens very quickly. The vb program is large and so previous programmers used dsn and .udl files and I mostly use Jet 4.0 for connections to the database.
Thanks
Max
