Thank you Larry but I don't believe the length is an issue, the file itself is just a test com server called helloworld and the server location is just \\Io\f\TMESYS. We wanted to confirm we can get the process to work before releasing the actual COM's on the server and even they have small file names.

The line of code I use is as follows
oFoxServer=CREATEOBJECTEX('{2B51D8E3-BBFA-11D5-B2F8-0002A57C0515}','io')

As you can see I am passing the GUID and the server name. I have tried it with '\\io' and it still doesn't work.
