There are several things that are now built into the OS that you once had to buy software for- support for zip files for instance- zip files show up in XP as a 'compressed' folder, and you can click into them in explorer just like you would any other folder, and copy files in and out.

That's neat. I have it in Linux under KDE, it's neat. I wonder how the ZIP folks will take being embraced, extended and extinguished, or did Bill buy them out?

Now that's really cool. How long does it take to shut down?

That can be frustrating. When it works, and works the way you want it, nothing is sweeter. But when you can't make it do what YOU want it to do, you start looking for the wireing, so you can yank it out and do it your way.

Have you examined the raw TCP/IP sockets and played with them yet?
