Ken,

My point was not that the PDC is not a great place to learn XML, etc. It is!
The point was that they say to go to the PDC and be the first to get tools for creating/consuming web services! That is marketing talk and not technically true as VFP7 is the first production Microsoft language or tool to do that (to my knowledge).

>>Excellent! I have to attend the PDC to get code and tools for Web Services?
>>Was I hallucinating or weren't we first getting tools in production to do just that? Sure VFP 7.0 is not a part of .Net but it creates and consumes XML Web Services. Does it qualify to beat the above mentioned statement? Sheesh!

>I don't understand your point. The PDC conference is a great place to learn about XML Web services. A great way for VFP developers to learn about XML Web services is to read the whitepaper at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/fox7help/html/fogrfWebServicesInVisualFoxPro.asp as well as some of the whitepapers and editorials at http://west-wind.com/Articles.asp
