Sorry, I do not mean to shoot the messenger. Let me try to take a more constructive approach. I think your management will be much better off defining a complete set of tools based on the components that need to be developed. Then define the best tool to develop those components regardless of what someone's crystal ball is saying. I would much rather have solution developed with the best tool than something creating with work arounds because a product may or may not be supported 5 years from now. Besides a tool set should constantly be evolving with the technology.
