Chris,
>>No argument there. I'd just ask you if you know the difference?

>>IOW, I think that few people have a very clear view, not only of the Historic Christian positions, but if Islam as well.
>>
>>That Islam is more aggressive towards 'non believers' in its writings is evident.

>Of course, that wasn't your original point. Once again, you try to make a point then go off on a rant. See:
Not really. It's called comparison. Now, if you'd like a thorough understanding on how Islam has always had internal struggles with its self-definition the references are quite easy to find. For example, the Shiite and Sunni 'factions' came from a dispute that arose immediately upon the death of Mohammed over which 'line' the next leader should arise from. They have been fighting and arguing amongst themselves ever since.

>>>>>>I think that there are many fine individuals who are members of the Islam faith. However, it really isn't as peaceful or harmless a faith as some would want you to believe. Look at the 1400 years of its history. It's factionalized and there are many sects that hate each other and so forth. Not very pretty I suppose.
>
>As I wrote earlier, you can say the same for Christianity.
Yes, you can say that but what is the conclusion you draw from this?
