Yes, I am familiar with the Pegasus Client server setup.
Have you spoken to Pegasus Tech support?

Bascially no, it shouldn't make a huge difference
There have been reports of windows 2000 performance issues with more than 1 user connected at the same time (general VFP not pegasus)

But do get the client to check the virus settings
And it will be marginally faster to do client installs (less network traffic etc)
