Maybe recreate the IS package and make sure the Change, Remove and Repair options are not disabled under Gineral Information. You might create an install package the way it originally was -- without the VC runtime file -- or even better the origianl SETUP.EXE on the CD to see if you can get the REMOVE option by running that setup again.

If you just added a second session to the CD, you can get to the first session on the CD to retrieve the original SETUP.EXE to try running again and hopefully get the REMOVE option.
