Thanks Jim, sorry I was not more specific in my first post. The records that are missing were originally part of a transaction. I assumed that the transaction was secure and that the problem was in the record count in the file header. I still belive that to be the case but your suggestion concerning transactions on a peer to peer network is troubling.
A problem is a problem only as long as it has a possible solution. Lacking that, it becomes a FACT!
