Dear John
Steven Black has cited two Wiki pages discussing the issue at hand. You are free to correct or rebut the content in those pages if you are so certain you are correct. I wish you would do so if you are so certain you are correct.
I recommend that all parties read the cited Wiki pages where those with experience and viewpoints have gone to some trouble to cover all the issues rather than a sensational few.
FWIW, I choose to use Remote Views in many cases. I have carefully considered the arguments and am perfectly willing to explain my position without invective or slogans- indeed I have done my best to contribute to the Wiki pages detailed by Mr Black. Of course I do not "always" use RVs, same as I do not insist on driving on the wrong side of the road in Europe. A bit of flexibility works wonders, I find.
Regards
JR
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
