I have this problem that is driving me crazy. I have an app that dustrubuted at 8 different locations.(8 different servers). Both novell and NT. 1 nt server and 1 novell server keeps comming up with "database in use by another" it happens different times of the day. Sometimes 2-3 days in a row once twice three times, 10 times. Then no problem for days. Then it comes back. There is no ryme or reason or pattern I can find. There are 10 users in there are 2 users in. So I put code in the system, that when that error comes up, to wait two seconds and then try again. So now I have a new problem. (One other thing. I have the tables and views in the dataenvironment.) It gets past this error but tables are randomly not open. So different methods on the forms fail because the table/view is not open. It follows the same random pattern above. I know its the network denying access to the files but why?
