I mentioned it in the same thread before, but I'll go again. I you want to email and are having problems, why don't you try WestWind .DLL? It's public domain and it works flawlessly. I got my VFP app emailing in 3 hours, and besides you don't have the need for a email client like Exchange or whatever. You can download the files from the 'Files' section.
I have no special benefits from recommending WestWind tools, but they have worked great for me and they are free.
