Cetin,

Oops! 'My bad' (as my younger developers say). I got our problem text box confused with our base class 'test' text box. Problem was in our subclassed text box. Problem solved.

Thanks for your time in looking into this matter!
Malcolm

>>We are having problems with our VFP text boxes recognizing a double click when a user double clicks on text within the text box. When a user double clicks on text within a text box, the text is highlighted vs. the double click event being triggered. When a user double clicks on the same text box - but outside the text contents of the box, the double click event fires.
>>
>>Background: VFP 7. Native text box control (just too be sure no inheritance problems diagnosing this behavior).
>>
>>Any suggestions on how we can insure that the double click event gets triggered regardless of where a user clicks in a text box? Is the behavior we're seeing 'by design' or a 'bug'? (I'm hoping we don't have to resort to a complicated solution involving transparent controls that pass mouse clicks to their underlying text box)

>I can't reproduce it (dblclick always fire).
