Steven,

As a long observer of this thread (and others) all I can say is... Why not just let it go? This issue of money seems to have been put to rest by Jim. How could you possibly know what John may or may not do given a certain situation? Do you realize how absolutely childish your arguments sound? I am not yet convinced one way or another about the SPT vs RV issue, but I've got to say my inclination would be to choose whatever you don't advocate for. Not a sound reason, but seems justifiable somehow.

>Funny, that doesn't square with talk with you and others on many past occasions at conferences about your involvment in the creation and evolution of Dataclass.

>I suspect that if Rod and JD were rolling in it, without cutting you in, you'd sue them for it. I know I might. You and them scoffing this does not mean you don't have a pecuniary *and* personal interest in Dataclass.

>I'm more than happy to keep talking about this as long as you want. All I know is what I know from the three of you in the past.

>I continue to maintain that those with an interest in the products they recommend should always say so. Not to do so is ethically reprehensible, proportionate to the number of acronyms one appends to one's sig.

>So stuff it, bud. You don't fool me for a second. When you recommend a product, disclose your interests, because it's the right thing to do.
