>We use a digital camera to photograph non-conforming parts. I set up an area for the display on one of the many required ASP forms to meet the aspect ratio of the photograph.

When displayed on the form it is squashed and looks short and chubby rather than long and lean. Anyone have any ideas how to retain the proper aspect ratio? If not I may just try to convince the users to not crop the photos.

You need to get the image dimensions first and then change to width or height of the IMG tag.
How do you get the image dimensions? ServerObjects has a free component called ImageSize.
