That's still inside VFP, where you can do that. I'm more thinking of the bridge between Office and VFP, where a conversion from Unicode to single codepage seems to happen beyond our control. I remember I had problems with that - automation did work if codepage that VFP was using was identical to the codepage of the document's language setting, but if it was not, it filtered many things out and the conversion between characters was rather unpredictable. The end result was nearly unusable in those cases.
