Oscar,
"Leave" simply means check out the file, but use my copy of the file as the checked out version. Do not overwrite it with the version in VSS.

I use that option whenever I make modifications to a file for test purposes and then want to integrate the test version into the real version for source control.

You should have had this option all along (at least from 6.0 on). What version did you upgrade from?
