Now that I think about it, this is not what I want to do and IMO goes against the whole concept of a combobox. I want to either allow the user to choose from the list or type in their own value, but I don't want that new value as a part of the list.

Is this the only way to save the entry?

>Because if you just type in a new value you must use additem() on what you just typed in. I put this.additem(alltrim(this.text)) in my VALID method.
