I am having trouble with slow screen refreshes when running VFP/Citrix server across a slow leased line.

Make sure you test using your slowest line even if your network people say that the line works fine with other Citrix apps.

There is a nobitmap setting in VFP that claims to be able to help this problem but you would have to do extensive re-writing of your code to make use of this setting.

You can achieve good results if you are writing from scratch and testing across the slow line to see what effect your screen updates are having.

Grids seem to cause the most problems.

Good Luck (I expect you will need it)

>I have a client who is "updating" his equipment from networked (peer-to-peer) PCs to a remote (!) Citrix server, sitting over a central data server, running local dumb terminals. He is running several of my VFP 5 applications (with a common database) on his current machines.
