>All the examples you've cited rquire that somebody actually puts that data out and does so at very reasonable cost. So lets say some companies actually do (doubt it - too specialized of a market with data that's really too trivial to be worth much) this. Now we have thousands of companies providing Web Services. How's a cell phone gonna find the one you want? And be able to talk to it given that the data likely is going to need some formatting parsing etc. so that it's useful in the context provided. And charge you for it, and, and...

My answers to this are in my orginal post in this thread. The ISP is a huge part of how this will work. I think that MS is thinking this will be the cases well, take a look at MSN and where its headed, its not obvious, but you can peice it together.

>Did we forget somewhere that we're still people, people??? Maybe I'm old fashioned but I don't want to be in touch every second of my life. I want to get away and be, you know by myself...

Being in touch at all times has nothnig to do with this. I can turn my cell phone off, or just not answer it. My cell phone rings, and I usually ignore it, while most people assume that if the phone rings you need to pick it up. I guess I just think differnt in that respect. As far as getting away, yes, thats exactly the point. I think that technology will make peoples jobs and lifes so simple, that they CAN get away. Like with my previous example, the process of buying and cooking dinner should be done effortlessly, thus, more times for other things... the good things in life.
