I assume you checked that you have green lights on the LinkSys Router when you connect the cable to the RH etherent card. What does ifconfig tell you? Can you ping 127.0.0.1? Also check 100.100.100.30 with a Windows client.

By the way, you really should use a different IP scheme. The IP range you should use is something like, 10.0.0.xx or 192.168.254.xx . These classes are specifically reserved for intranet use.
