When you highlight several lines in the command window and execute them, you have (in effect) created a temporary program and run it. This temporary program does not finish executing until after you close the program manager. To test it, highlight all three of the following lines and hit enter:

modi proj batchcntrl
<b>? "Hello Nadya"</b>
