Hi Jim

Just a couple of suggestions

1) Put a wait state as the very first line in your startup program, eg =INKEY(0). Then run the exe. If it still happens then you know it has nothing to do with your code since your code has not run yet. Then I would suspect the problem might be with the VFP dll and runtime engine.

2) Is the exe compressed? If so re-compile without it.

3) Is the exe encrypted? If so ditto.

Clearly this is not a code issue but something that happens after you compile it and therefore are using different dll. Cannot be a memory thing either. I think the memory issue is a symptom of another problem.
