Jim,

That's great advice on many levels. In trying to grasp some Word and Excel automation a while back I spent way too much time on trying to understand all the nuances for the task at hand. I finally told myself to just use the proven code samples to get it to perform the functionality and go back later to understand why it was doing what it did. I did and I understood it better having a working example using my own case. Since then I've tried to apply that to other things as I learn - expecially very recently in using WSH.
