Edward, You have given me an opportunity in the above message to ask a (newbie) question which I have had several times:
In the line above (and in lines like it I have seen elsewhere):

Thisform.List1.Rowsource=Thisform.List1.Rowsource

This looks to me like: A = A or 10 = 10

And I don't have any background on why this would be useful.
