I agree that there are sometimes reasons for the way things are. In several cases where guys in their 30s are involved, they have small children that are the focus of their live. If they work at a company with no training, they will not enhance their skills at all, since no computer work occurs at home.

But at the same time, I've not been asked the question, "How do you know that", or "Where can I learn some of these other skills?". Questions that should have been asked after the 2nd or 4rd time the person was passed over for an opportunity.
