Server's currently running Netware 4.11, but is due to be upgraded to 5 in January.

The Win2k settings and client version are problematic in that they're part of a centrally-imposed preferred model designed by our Computing Service. If there is a known fix, I can go to them and maybe get the spec changed, but this is difficult without a definite solution!

I'll try tweaking the client locks settings, but I'm not hopeful: I remember similar problems with table corruption using default client settings under Win95, but changing true commit=on completely fixed these. I treid that here to no avail..
