I've also discovered that there is a noticeable shift in the image between checked/unchecked when small images are used - where I used the technique I had larger images & the shift is much less noticeable. Theres also still a border around the image that is probably not wanted. I can see why your idea has advantages over graphical checkboxes, thanks.
